First visit
Patient care is important to us. We treasure the relationships between our patients, physicians and the clinic. You are welcome to schedule your first meet and greet appointment with one of our physicians to get to know one another. During your initial appointment, your doctor will obtain a medical history from you. He or she will discuss a plan on how to meet your health care needs.
Cancellation policy
From time to time it becomes necessary to cancel or reschedule appointments for various reasons. In an effort to offer our efficient service without interruption, we ask that you contact us immediately. We strive to make these cancellations or rescheduled slots available to other patients.
We encourage you to contact us to book an appointment with Vanguard Medical& Aesthetic Clinic. In doing so, please note your agreement to our cancellation policy, as follows:
- No charge is incurred to cancel or reschedule your visit 24 hours prior to your appointment time
- A fixed charge will be applied for rescheduled services if it is not cancelled 24 hours before your appointment or you do not show up at the scheduled time.
Uninsured services
The Alberta Health Care Insurance Plan does not cover certain uninsured services. Some are billed to lawyers, government agencies or you.
You may request a letter, report, form, etc., from your physician. These services require the time and expertise of your doctor and staff. As a result, you will be billed a fee to cover these costs.
Your doctor can discuss any fee with you before providing an uninsured service. Payment will be expected when you receive the service. We accept cash, debit or credit cards.
The following is a list of uninsured services for which Vanguard Medical Clinic may bill:

PLEASE NOTE: Prescriptions need to be monitored by the physician; therefore, we cannot fill prescriptions over the phone. An appointment is necessary for renewal.
